Explore our upcoming community and fundraising events supporting the CHD community.
We are thrilled to host free events throughout the year for families affected by congenital heart defects (CHD). These gatherings provide meaningful opportunities to connect, celebrate, and support one another. Additionally, we organize fundraisers to help advance our mission of improving the lives of CHD families.
None of this would be possible without the incredible generosity of our community, donors, and sponsors. Together, we are making a difference!
3rd Annual Heart Warrior Photo Sessions
We are excited to announce that we are hosting our annual Holiday Gathering at the Cincinnati Zoo to enjoy the Festival of Lights together!
Date: Saturday, February 8, 2025
Time: 9:30 am – 1:30 pm
Where: BB Riverboats, 101 Riverboat Row, Newport, KY 41071
FREE for Congenital Heart Alliance of Cincinnati families as a thank you for supporting heart families and raising awareness of Congenital Heart Defects/Disease.
*SPOTS ARE LIMITED FOR THIS EVENT, SO IF YOU PARTICIPATED LAST YEAR, PLEASE CONSIDER WAITING TO SIGN UP FOR THIS EVENT TO SEE IF OTHERS ARE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE THIS YEAR. (We will not be monitoring this)
Please arrive 10 minutes before your 10-minute session with our professional photographer and the heart warrior backdrop. Families are invited to join but we will be on a very tight schedule to get each Heart Warrior done in 10 minutes (so that we can accommodate as many as possible in the four-hour window.) 3 digital images are included. Your gallery will be e-mailed to you.
Please select your time slot and enter your contact information- including the name of your heart warrior and your email. In the message box please state the number in your group, the ages of any additional children, and any additional info you may have for the photographer.
Scratch Golf Camp| July 31, August 1-2, 2025
Scratch Golf provides the opportunity for children and teens with congenital heart disease or who are at risk for heart disease to be considered for a FREE golf camp that takes place each summer. Scratch Golf – Cincinnati takes place July 31, August 1-2 from 10am – noon at First Tee – Greater Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky at Reeves Golf Course.
Scratch Golf will also take place in Austin this spring, in New Orleans and Minneapolis this summer and are looking to expand to more cities! Stay tuned for more exciting news and registration!
8th Annual Heart Hero Golf Classic | Aug 25, 2025 – SAVE THE DATE!

Join us for our annual golf outing, the main fundraiser for the Congenital Heart Alliance of Cincinnati. Your participation and sponsorship ensure vital support for CHD families and the esteemed Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, ranked #1 children’s hospital in the nation!

2025 Heart & Sole Walk | Saturday, Sept 20 – SAVE THE DATE
We extend our deepest gratitude all the families, friends, and sponsors who contributed to the success of our 2024 Heart & Sole Walk. Over 300 supporters joined us to make this year’s event truly unforgettable.
As Gina stated at the walk, every dollar raised will directly benefit the CHD community through our community programs and special inpatient events at the Heart Institute. Your support is making a real difference, and we couldn’t do it without you. Thank you for walking with us, both literally and figuratively, as we continue our mission to support families impacted by CHD.
We look forward to this years walk! Help is needed!

Fall Fest at Burwinkel Farms | October 4, 2025
We had so much fun at Burwkinkel Farms with our CHD families! Thank you Burwinkel Farms for hosting us! We will be back next year!
Festival of Lights | December 9, 2025
We are excited to announce that we are hosting our annual Holiday Gathering at the Cincinnati Zoo to enjoy the Festival of Lights together!
Date: Tuesday, December 10th, 2024
Time: 5:30pm-7:00pm
We will have a table set up outside the Main Entrance, by the ticket office, from 5:30-7:00, for check in. We will have goody bags for each family as well. You are more than welcome to come any time between 5:30pm and 7:00pm. After 7:00, the table outside the ticket office will no longer be there to register and get your goody bag and tickets (if needed).
If you have your own Zoo pass, we encourage you to use them so that we are able to reach more families that do not have memberships this year. Tickets will be given for IMMEDIATE Heart family members only. Unfortunately, we will not be able to provide tickets for extended family members. Children under 2 are free. (Please do not include them in your count for tickets.) If we have extra tickets at the end, we will let everyone know and it will be a first come first serve to get additional tickets for extended family members.
We WILL be having our annual toy drive this year, for the kids and families at the CCHMC Heart Institute. If you would like to participate, you can bring an UNWRAPPED gift to the zoo and we will drop off all donated items at once. We appreciate all of your donations and would love to get enough items for every family member on the units at Christmas!
